Head north along the beachfront down to the river an set up some awnings and enjoy the shallows of the river. The route sometimes gets closed as it is prone to flooding. Take care to read the signs and watch out for heavy mine trucks that frequently use Palm Beach Road. The Norval Park campground has been developed by Council to provide basic 'bush' camping of a zero or minimum facilities nature. Woodgate and palm beach rd. The boys were passionate about the outdoors and were avid four-wheel drivers, bike riders and surfers. You see, a lot of the tracks in the National Park are soft sand and also dry weather only tracks. The other thing that I forgot to mention earlier, is that you can drive your 4WD all the way down on to the beach! Kinkuna is accessible by 4WD vehicles only and sand-driving experience would be an advantage.
